Pouring Our Way To Success

Eck Industries pours a wide variety of alloys to meet your every need.  The following information covers alloys we typically pour and the average properties we achieve in separately cast test bars.

Please note this data is not all inclusive and gives information on the most commonly used heat treatments.  Other properties can be achieved through varied heat treatments.  Furthermore, within any given alloy there are various grades of material and Eck Industries can pour them all.

200 series: Premium aluminum alloys containing copper.  They are employed where both high strength and hardness are required, with excellent ductility.  Frequently used for aerospace, military, and critical structural castings.  For more details please view the additional information available on 200 series alloys.

300 series: Generally considered the primary cast alloys, they contain silicon, copper and/or magnesium.  These alloys are the most common alloys cast and are good for all general use castings.

500 series: As alloys with high magnesium content, they are used where general strength is required in addition to good ductility.  These alloys generally do not require heat treatment and have superb corrosion resistance.

These properties are just a starting point.  At Eck Industries we can exceed these values and work with customers who have specialized needs to develop an alloy and heat treat which will deliver what they require.  In addition to these general cast alloys, we have experience pouring wrought aluminum alloys such as 6061 and 7075, as well as metal matrix composites, particularly those containing SiC and SiC-Graphite.  For more information, please see Technology Leaders.
